We’re thrilled to kick off another year of WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students)—a nationally recognized program from The National Center for Fathering that invites fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer at least one day during the school year.
The goal? To provide positive male role models for students and enhance school safety through presence, engagement, and connection.
Why Watch D.O.G.S. matters:
✅ Students love seeing male role models actively involved at school.
✅ It creates stronger connections between families and educators.
✅ It helps deter bullying and increases a sense of security.
✅ It gives dads and guardians a chance to experience a “day in the life” of their child’s school.
As a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer, you’ll:
🔹 Help with morning drop-off and hallway greetings
🔹 Assist in classrooms and during lunch or recess
🔹 Support teachers and staff with simple tasks
🔹 Be a friendly, encouraging face throughout the day
You don’t need any special training—just a heart for kids and a desire to support your student’s education and community. We’ll walk you through everything and help you get signed up for a day (or more!) that works for you.
At our kickoff event, you’ll:
👋 Meet fellow Watch D.O.G.S. and campus leaders
📅 Learn how the program works and how to sign up
👕 Get info on how to order your official Watch D.O.G.S. shirt
🍕 Enjoy food and fellowship—bring your student(s)!
Let’s make this the biggest and best year yet. We can’t wait to welcome our Watch D.O.G.S. back to campus!
